Tonight Thursday January 21, 2021 the Troop will hold a meeting via Zoom as a group. During this meeting the Patrol Leader Council (PLC) will hold elections.
Candidates have been made aware they will speak this evening with a short speech on why they feel they would make a good patrol leader. After all the candidates have spoken, Max (our SPL) will provide a Google Form for the scouts to vote by.
If you want your voice to be heard in our elections, be sure to attend. Have your parents keep an eye out for the E-Mail from Mr. Waxman with the Zoom links.
Parents and Scouts, as they days continue to get shorter (with light) and the weather turns to cooler temps the Patrol Meetings will return to Virtual starting this Thursday Nov. 12, 2020. They will begin at 7:30pm.
Your scout will receive a Zoom link from his patrol leader. Meetings will run about 30 minutes.
Hopefully we can revert back to In-Person patrol meetings when the temperature gets warmer and the days get longer!

Life Scout Evan L. has announced his Eagle Project. Please be sure to check the e-mail from Mr. Waxman on the details of the project and the scouts and families of Troop 12 can assist Evan in making this a successful project!
After successfully meeting last Thursday with all patrols we have decided to try this again. All scouts should remain socially distant to the best of their abilities and wear a face covering at all times.
We meet from 6:30pm to 7pm in the St. Peter’s Church parking lot.
Please remember your COVID checklist to be handed in before participating in the meeting.
Scouts/ Parents: Troop 12 will be doing a day hike at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco on Saturday September 26,2020. Social distancing, wearing of masks and the pre-medical check list as attached are required for everyone participating in this event. Carpooling is not allowed. Troop 12 will not provide lunch. This is an opportunity for the scouts to work on advancements such as map and compass,knots, first aid, plants and wildlife identification to name a few. Scouts please bring your BSA handbook and compass.
Everyone attending this event must fill out the pre-medical form the day of the event. Attached is the new BSA medical form for you to complete. All scouts and adults must complete the form and attach a copy of your medical card both front and back. We will be leaving St. Peter’s Church at 10am arriving at NoBe at 11am. Upon arriving we will meet in their parking lot. Parent’s please pick up your scout in the Nobe parking lot at 3pm.
Please note that there is poor cell phone service at the camp. In the event of an emergency you can contact the Ranger’s office land line at 908-362-6088.
The forms attached here are required to attend the hike.
Troop 12 has begun holding Troop meetings outdoors. Please check our Calendar for wen the Patrols are meeting.
All meetings are being held outdoors and begin at 6:30pm. They will be held weather permitting.
Attached to the Google Event is the COVID Form that is required for each meeting your scout attends. Any adult planning to attend the meeting is also required to fill out the COVID Form.

If you do not have Zoom, please download and at : www.zoom.us . It is available for Windows, Mac and ChromeOS. Just click the download link, if necessary.

Parents & Scout welcome to our new website!
Mr. Melhorn & Mr. Covan have been working on the new Troop 12 website for several months and after meeting with the Committee on March 4 have now gone live!!
There are some great new features on this site, one of the biggest being that the site is now computer and mobile browser compatible.
Also is the addition to a Google Calendar under Meetings & Events tab. This allows the user to subscribe to the calendar and now keep up to date with Troop 12 events right on their phones and calendars.
We will be adding links to permissions slips on the events as well, though they will be available under the Permission Slips tab as well.
